This time they will be baking Fran´s mom favorite cake. It is a basic sponge cake topped with the most delicious butter and almond topping.
This is what you will need if you want to cook along:
Sponge Cake:
. Eggs 3
. Sugar 250 gr. - 9 Oz.
. Flour 300 gr. - 10.5 Oz.
. Double Cream 250gr. - 9Oz.
. Baking Powder 2 tea spoons
For the Topping:
. Butter 125 gr. - 4.5 Oz. (Melted)
. Sugar 200gr. - 7 Oz.
. Milk 3 Table Spoons
. Raw Almonds 200gr. - 7 Oz (thinly sliced)

Fran Glaria was born and raised in Pamplona, part of the Basque country in northern Spain. His passions for history, art and food, led him to tour guiding. Over 20 years ago, he started a small local guiding company in his hometown. This company evolved into designing tours in the Basque region, and also into organizing tours for the Running of the Bulls festival in Pamplona.
