Katka Svobobova has been working as a tour guide since 1998. She runs a travel agency (Prague Walker) offering private tours in Prague and the Czech Republic as well as working as a tour leader taking groups around Central-Eastern Europe for Rick Steves. She received a degree from the Charles University in Prague in anthropology and history. She likes meeting various people from different countries and cultures. When guiding, her goal is to have a visitor who gets the most of his stay, enjoys being here, and feels more like an insider than a usual tourist. She is interested in history, genealogy, architecture, art, music, and literature. She loves traveling, hiking/trekking, and yoga. She also enjoys sewing, and as a true Czech, she loves wild mushroom picking.
