‘At half-past three everything stops for tea!’ as the song goes. This was how it was in the early 1840s when Afternoon Tea was first taken. Today, Afternoon Tea is usually only an occasional luxury, a Mother’s Day treat perhaps, taken in a 5-star hotel.
Helen will talk you through the story behind this extremely enjoyable ritual and help you to create your own traditional Afternoon Tea at home.
