Holger Zimmer

Like many tour guides, Holger Zimmer has a fullfilled life that complements his role as a guide. With a background in theatre and music, Holger daily job is working as a senior broadcast journalist, covering art, film, music and culture for German and international media. Over the last 20 years he has done tons of radio reports, live broadcasts and features for Public Broadcasting in Germany, Austria, Great Britain and Ireland, besides writing articles for newspapers and magazines. 

Having fallen in love with travel at quite a young age, Holger has been guiding groups or individual guests since 2006, be it in his hometown of Berlin or across Europe, exploring Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Northern and Eastern Europe.

He has been working as a producer and on-screen on Rick Steve´s TV-shows and has shared stage and radio studio with Rick many times.  Try him for the best bars in Budapest or the fanciest cake in Vienna. Or simply a fine beer in Berlin or Bavaria.
