SCOTTISH BLETHERS
Hosts | Liz Lister and Helen Houston
In Scotland, when friends get together they blether. When those friends happen to be Scottish Blue Badge Tourist Guides you can be sure that the country they are so passionate about will be right at the heart of their discussions.
Contemporary and historical; culinary and cultural; reminiscence and anecdote - from accommodation to zoos, the chat will range across the entire alphabet of topics and issues that are live and happening in Scotland right now.
We hope that you’ll join us - there’s nothing to beat a right good blether!

SB | Bonus Episode : Curling Gold
A wee bonus episode as we celebrate the sucess of Team GB’s curling teams at the weekend. Team Muirhead brought home GB’s only gold medal in the last few hours of the games. We chat about the game and how it has developed as new technologies are introduced. Often referred to as “chess on ice”, the girls displayed both technical skill and strategy to win 10-3 in Saturday’s final. Gaun yersels!
SB | Episode 23: A Scottish Palace, follies and the Roaring Game
Join tour guides Liz, Helen and Susan in their weekly Scottish Blethers podcast.
In this week’s episode we take a stroll through Scone Palace in Perthshire, consider the many buildings that enhance Scotland’s landscape with no obvious function (called Follies) and end with an introduction to The Roaring Game also known as Curling or Chess on Ice.
