17th-century painting of the Real Alcázar in Madrid (the Bourbon Palace)—built on the current site of the Royal Palace of Madrid, it was originally a fortress built by the Moors in the 9th century, embellished by the King Charles I (1500s) onwards through King Philip V (1700s), destroyed by fire Christmas Eve 1734.
