You | A Poem
Charlie Rawson | Travel with Charlie Rawson
Rockets spray painting across the sky
Weaving the triangles of tomorrow’s now
onto the cascading moments of future
Each footstep bound
To where the fields are fenced in and our food is grown
Sodden
woolly
And settling beneath
Consumed by these seasonal beliefs
Quickly stand up and be counted
Now they show themselves anew
We are here.
We are
Coming back to you
Buds wink and brim
on the nip of an earth crested wave
Your sap is rising to the sound of the sun
Arriving
Becoming
Reminding
Comforting
We are here.
The time, as it falls
brings us back to you.
